(Children’s theatre)
              It performs various children’s activities one of its major parties performing the function of “Kuzhandhaigal Kootharangam”. It started on 1999 gaze towards the children’s in rural and slum areas. It wants to provide an opportunity to children’s who do not have the opportunity to learn traditional arts especially in Govt. Schools; our volunteers trained children who are below 14 years.

Aim:

• To develop the creativity of the children in order to shine in their future
• To share ecstasy among the children
• It provides an opportunity to expose the children’s dreams and imaginations through various arts
• Exposing the talents of the children and develop the imagination skills.

Commencement of the programme
              Placing on the above issue ADECOM organization, the Indian Govt. Field Publicity Dept. and other voluntary organizations and Volunteers carry out the programme in the past four years continuously.

Every child has individual talents but they do not get an opportunity to expose their talent. Here ADECOM has been developing a children forum to bring out the internal thoughts and talents by means of play way method through cultural activities such as story telling, singing, dancing, dramas, crafts works, drawing, sports, story telling, etc.

Parents Teachers view about this programme
              Parents are very much happy about this program most of the parents suggested for conducting number of program in addition they pointed out to perform more program in the Govt. schools where the children from downtrodden areas study in the schools.

Teachers expressed this program as an alternate for the children formal education. They also assured that this program would be a path for the students to lead their life optimistically develops their carrier they also added that such types of program would bring out shyness, and develop the knowledge of reasoning and lead to leadership quality.

We conducted this programme in Govt. School for seven programmes in a year. During the period of 2001-2003 we conducted more than 30 programmes in various schools in and around Pondicherry. The main impact of this programme was the children have been understood about their expressions and values. They have shown their talents in front of their teachers and parents in arts, crafts and creative skills. ADECOM insisted about the children rights declared by the U.N at international level, the main rights on education, expression, environment, food, health, etc have imparted for the public awareness. Through this programme the children have been learning the moral and spiritual values in their life. This is long term process and ADECOM started these initiatives with the support of Education Department and the Volunteers working in NGO’s and Schools.
