New Initiatives & Strategies

• The year 2004 ADECOM initiated the emergency of the New Movement for Dalit Land Rights. ADECOM networking partners got the experiences from the State level movement on Land Rights.
• The land activism focused over entire Tamilnadu. ADECOM undertaken several activities such as creating awareness among Dalits on Panchami land, Waste land, Temple land and Common land publishing booklets and pamphlets and organizing training camps for Dalits.
• The land activism, which began as an NGO initiative, roped in Dalit political movements for its visibility and access. The new Dalit land movement larger in scope covering the entire landless Dalits, and the recovery of Panchami lands also forms part of it.
